Dumolia (Dimelia) came to us when she was very small. She had been badly burned by falling into a large pot of hot boiling water. The burns were from the side of her face down to her waist. Her parents finally got her to a hospital, but it was not experienced with burns of this degree. As a result, she could not turn her neck or lift her arms.

We took her to the States where she was taken to the Shriners and treated for burns year after year. She actually graduated from an English-speaking High School here in Haiti. Her dream is to enter a Medical College in Jamaica. She is waiting on her acceptance and a Student Visa. In the meantime she works at our Birthing Center doing ultrasounds. Anyone who meets her loves her!
