This morning, Jackson developed a bad headache, along with high blood pressure. This is the second time in a couple of months that this has happened. Jackson is receiving the best of care. Jesse Ostrander, who is responsible for Jackson’s care in the D.R., has specialists there who look after him. This young boy has a huge list of foods that he is allowed to eat, and that list is “very specific”!!
We have “room Mothers,” who sit with him three meals a day, to make sure he stays on his special diet. Each month, it takes an entire van to bring in all his medicines, his heavy dialysis bags, his special medicines, etc. Pictures are taken before and after he eats and these are sent to Jesse Ostrander, who forwards them to his doctors in the Dominican Republic.
Jackson is feeling better now. Dr. Barthelemy, our Haitian doctor, wants to get his blood pressure down and then, he can go back to our orphanage. We are praying and believing that Jackson could be a candidate for a kidney transplant list in the future, but no matter when God does it, we just want him healed! Thank you for your love and your prayers! God bless you from Haiti.
