Poor little fellow… Jackson (Jasson), is still in the hospital. Due to his edema (swelling), they have postponed the surgery. Here is a report from Dr. Barthelemy, our doctor here at Love A Child:

“Hello Sherry and Bobby. Jasson has suffered the NEPHROTIC CORTICORESISTANT SYNDROME. The evolution of this disease is dialysis or a kidney transplant, his nephrologist doctor (Dr. Exantus) after several renal checkups came to this conclusion. There is a degradation of kidney function so Jasson becomes sicker every day. When the kidney begins to lose its filtering function they have to prepare him for dialysis to filter the blood of its waste, that’s why his doctor has sent him to another hospital to have surgery, the surgery consists of creating an ARTERIOVENOUS FISTULA for him, to allow him to do dialysis when the kidney cannot respond anymore. The surgery was planned for last week but Jasson had edema and they asked him to do a dialysis session before performing the surgery, which he did last Thursday, and planned again the surgery for tomorrow at 8 or 9 a.m. in the morning- if of course no gang problems at Croix des Bouquets.
