These pictures of Jasson (Jackson) just came in from Jesse Ostrander, who is working hard to help us get good medical care for Jasson and some of our other children. These are pictures of Jasson touring the Pediatric Nephrology Center so that he can see and understand what will happen if and when he starts Dialysis. Notice that there is another child in the Dialysis area. This will help Jasson feel less “threatened” by the machine, and those who will be doing the treatment. In the near future, our plan is to have our own Pediatric Dialysis Machine, and have some of our staff trained to be able to get Jasson set up on his Dialysis at our Children’s Home.
We have other children who also need medical care, dental care, eye care, plastic surgery on burned hands, as well as those who have other medical needs. It is safer, and most times, better care in the Dominican Republic. At least we would not have to take our children through “gang-related areas” in order to get medical care. Due to gangs, Haiti is in a “health-care crisis,” as well as a “food crisis.”
We want to thank the Lord for His guidance and help, and we want to thank Jesse for all of his long hours, traveling back and forth between the Dominican Republic and Haiti and the U.S. to help our children. And, we want to thank you, our wonderful partners, for all your love, and for all your prayers and support!
