This young man is Jean Gardy Guervil. He came to our Love A Child Children’s Home when he was very young after his mother passed away. His father was unable to find a job, so he brought Jean Gardy to our children’s home, which was a dilapidated rented house that was already bursting with children. Jean Gardy is one of our earlier children that moved from that old house into the new Love A Child Children’s Home in Fond Parisien. I think he was a little overwhelmed as he said, “He couldn’t believe how big the house,” was because he had only seen small houses. He is growing up very fast. This summer, he worked with our Haitian construction crew, learning all about building houses and he helped with the new birthing center. He has a “good head on his shoulders” to do business and to make money! He sells “gourdes for minutes” for cell phones, and he sells “cold drinks” from his room, and only God knows “what else!” He is a sweet kid! Jean Gardy loves to play soccer with his Love A Child siblings. He is doing well in school and studies very hard. Thank you, partners, for saving another child in Haiti. Bobby and Sherry
