We found this sweet young boy Jonas Alce when we were holding a Mobile Medical Clinic in the remote village of Demesseau, Haiti. We have had him since he was born. His mother died in childbirth, and his father brought him to our truck, as we were getting ready to leave the mountains. Bobby and I were having a “parenting moment,” discussing Jonas. At the time his father brought him to us in the mountains, we were renting a very small building, and it was overcrowded with kids. Bobby said to me, “Baby, we have too many kids, and we can’t take in any more.” I said, “Okay,” and then in Creole, I told the father, “Bring him down to our children’s home, we have so many kids now that Bobby won’t realize we have one more!” Jonas was “snuck” into the children’s home by “you know who.” (Me!) He was very sick and colicky when he first came to live with our big family, but with lots of good nutritious food and love, he is growing up fast and always wants to help out around Love A Child. Jonas is now 15-years-old and loves playing soccer with his Love A Child family, and we are so glad God sent him to us. Sherry
