This young mother and her baby live in the area of Haiti called L’Artibonite.

This is the area where we built our first Christian School in L’estere, Petit Desdunes. Notice how dry and cracked the ground is! The story of this village has been all over the news here in Haiti, because of the great drought. The animals are dying, the crops are dying and many children will die if they don’t get water.

This entire area has little or no water. This means that both water and food are scarce. The people are so hungry. They said this on the Haitian TV, “Bobby is the only one who brings us food…” We will be going back to the area this week. We have a feeding program there, where we give each family a box of food each month, but they are going to need “lots more.”

In years past, we have drilled several wells here, but the dirt always caves in when drilling, making it impossible. We are sending a team there this week to see if we can find land right outside this village, where they believe we could drill for water. Let’s pray that God will show us where to drill and that the need will be supplied! Sherry
