Update on Mackenson: 4-20-18 7:00 PM

This cutie is Mackenson. We found him in the village of Covant while conducting a Mobile Medical Clinic. He was severely malnourished, and the skin on his little arms was splitting open. He would have died if we had not brought him back to our Love A Child Children’s Home. We made sure he received three hot, nourishing meals each day along with lots of hugs. He has been with us for about five years and was doing very well. He was going to school and learning to read and write. A few months ago, he left for school and while there he had a stroke. He was taken to the Jesus Healing Center, and our medical staff stabilized his condition, and then he was transferred to a hospital for additional medical treatment. He was there for a week or so and then came back home and has been receiving physical therapy since his hospital stay.

We are thrilled to let you know that he is now walking and talking! He has also started to use his arm again, but he still has a long road ahead of him! He will continue to receive physical therapy at a hospital in Port-au-Prince each week. We continue to see daily improvements. He has started going back to school and is doing “what he can.” Thank you, partners, for changing lives in Haiti. Bobby and Sherry
