Update on Pastor Claude

Pastor Claude Mondesir is one of the sweetest and most honest Pastors we have ever met in Haiti. He has had a great burden for orphaned children and children who have been “discarded.” He and his staff have raised all these children for years. Pastor Claude has built churches in many parts of Haiti. He desires to “go and preach the gospel to many areas” before he dies.

A few days ago, Pastor Claude was sent to the hospital. He had been very sick and not able to breathe properly. We were able to talk to him today, and he was in “good spirits.” The doctor thinks he will be home (to the orphanage) tomorrow.

We are trying to find a church in the states who will support the cost of running his orphanage and send a couple or “couples” to take over his orphanage. His orphanage is just a few miles from Love A Child.

If your church is interested in taking on this outreach and changing lives, please contact us or call our stateside office and ask to speak to Rad: 239.210.6107.

Living and working in Haiti takes a “calling.” This must be a “calling” and “not a job.” Operating an orphanage in Haiti is a tough job, but it’s “very rewarding!” Bobby and I understand the challenges and the rewards.

I am writing this letter from our Love A Child Orphanage’s top floor. We love these children…all day long, when we go up and down the steps, or to our truck or come inside from being busy, it’s always, “Hi Mom! Hi Dad!” We often hear, “I love you, Mom! I love you, Dad!” I think that running an orphanage in Haiti is a high calling. All these lives are in our hands. That’s why we have a burden to help Pastor Claude. Pray about this. Talk to your Pastor!!

God bless you, and God bless Pastor Claude!
Sherry

P.S.

Dr. Barthelemy, our Love A Child doctor, just returned from seeing Pastor Claude and took this picture.
