This young boy is Raphael Loseau, and he was born in Port-au-Prince in 2007. His parents, Ana Jean and Fane Loseau, attempted to go to the United States in a rickety old boat in search of work. It is presumed that the boat sank and they were lost at sea. His aunt cared for Raphael and his siblings for a while, but she could no longer afford to care for them all. Bobby and I heard about these poor children, and we brought them to our Love A Child Children’s Home. Raphael’s sisters Ada and Bianca are also here at our children’s home. We are happy to be able to keep Raphael’s little family together. He is growing up quickly as he gets fed three hot meals a day, and lots of love from his big Haitian family. Raphael enjoys going to school, and he is working at the Agricultural Training Center this summer learning all about raising fruits and vegetables.
