Do you remember this young lady? Her name is Sandraline Baman, and she has been with us since 2008. She was born in the Croix-des-Bouquet area and at the time of her birth, both parents were living. Not long after Sandraline was born, her mother died. Sandraline’s father had a job in Port-au-Prince repairing bicycles, and he would pay a woman to take care of her. There just wasn’t enough money to pay for childcare, baby food and other living expenses. Sandraline was not in good health, and she was very skinny and becoming severely malnourished. Her father feared she would die, and he brought her to our Love A Child Children’s Home when she was about nine-months-old. At first, she cried a lot and was unhappy, but with hugs, food and love, Sandraline started improving. Now, she is a young lady with a bright future.
