This young boy is Stephano, and he has lived at the Love A Child Children’s Home for several years. We learned not long ago that Stephano’s mother was raised in an orphanage run by a Haitian pastor. This pastor was evil and abusive, and we think he is Stephano’s father. The Haitian pastor has now been arrested and is no longer a threat to those living in the orphanage. We believe Stephano’s mother’s name is Stephanie, and she was about 15-years-old when he was born. It is such a sad story because this poor girl could not take care of herself; she was unstable and spent some time in prison. This young mother was unable to care for her baby, and Haiti’s Department of Social Services contacted Love A Child about taking Stephano into our large family. Now, Stephano is growing up in a loving Christian home, and he loves his family. He enjoys playing with his brothers and sisters, and he is doing well.
