UPDATE ON THE HOUSES BUILT FOR PEOPLE IN CAVES

UPDATE ON THE HOUSES BEING BUILT FOR THE PEOPLE LIVING IN CAVES: The process of building 50 new houses for the poor cave people has been very slow, and under severe conditions. The area above Jérémie has had torrential rains and the workers could not work or get the materials to the job sites. But, PTL… Joel said the last two weeks the sun has been shining! We are so thankful to Joel and Yvonne Trimble of “Haiti for Christ” who have shared this project with us. They have been working so hard! God bless Jonas and all the Haitian workers. In June, the money had been given to build the 50 houses.

CORRECTION: In our June monthly letter, we said all the houses were finished. Actually the June letter was written in May to be able to be mailed out in June. We had thought all of the houses would be completed, but due to the unforeseen weather conditions they are not all completed. Those of you who keep up with us on Facebook, have been updated and told about the weather, and the houses not being completed yet. To date 13 houses have been completed, with many others in different phases of construction. Some having roofs being put on, others have walls going up, and still others with foundations being constructed. More materials and food left last week for these houses, which are 12 hours away. In Haiti there is no Home Depot! The way of doing things is so different in Haiti… you cannot even imagine!

Sherry and I are hoping to be with the cave people the end of next week. At that time, we’ll give you more updated pictures with another update. These people have changed my life forever. By faith, we will give the money to Joel and Yvonne to put new furniture in each house and have them painted. Every one of you who supplied the money to have a house built will receive a picture of your Haitian family standing in front of their new house! Thank you… Love Is Something You Do. – Bobby
