This sweet girl is Yolanda Estima Burnette. She is another one of our children who we found in the remote mountain village of Covant. Her mother died from childbirth fever after Yolanda’s birth, which happens to many of the mothers here in Haiti. Yolanda was born into a family of six other children. Her father, Jean Estima, was unable to care for such a large family, and a new baby. Yolanda came to our Love A Child Children’s Home shortly after her birth and was welcomed by her new family. The Love A Child Children’s home is the only home she has ever known. She loves to dance with her sisters, sing in church, and she is doing very well in school!
