This young boy is Raphael Loseau, and he was born in Port-au-Prince in 2007. His parents, Ana Jean and Fane Loseau, attempted to go to the United States in a rickety old boat in search of work. It is presumed that the boat sank and they were lost at sea. His aunt cared for Raphael and his siblings for a while, but she could no longer afford to care for them all. Bobby and I heard about these poor children, and we brought them to our Love A Child Orphanage. Raphael’s sisters Ada and Bianca are also at our orphanage. We are happy to be able to keep this little family together, and they are growing up quickly as they now all receive hot, nutritious food every day, and lots of love.
