From our post this morning, two of our female employees had been kidnapped and robbed by the Papaya Gang on the way to work this morning… PTL they were let go! Our hearts have been broken for them. They are two very smart and nice, sweet Christian ladies who work for Love A Child.

Here’s what went down… there’s only one main road out here. There were a total of three Haitian taps taps (cheap transportation) following each other. Our two workers were on separate taps taps. In front of them, three vehicles pulled across the road, then a truck came out of nowhere, stopped, and a gang guy with others got out with an AK 47 and other guns.

They stole all three taps taps and everyone on board. The Papaya Gang took them back into the fields, robbed them, and beat some of them. One man I heard got his head busted open from the stock of a shotgun. We are so thankful to the Lord they escaped with their lives. This has been a very hard stressful day for everyone. We are thankful for the peace of Jesus.

I’m hoping our office will find a picture of a Haitian tap tap and put up so you can see what one looks like. Very colorful…

This morning at 9 a.m. a man in a private car on the same road got stopped by the same gang, his car stolen, and was beat up very badly. Things are bad on the road out here, but I do believe most of all of Haiti is doing much better.
