What a difference when we help just “one child.” When we had a Mobile Medical Clinic in the mountains of Haiti years ago, Wilner (Pistache) was brought to me. He was thin, small, had a horribly bloated belly, no hair and was extremely malnourished. I sat him on my lap and asked his father, “How old is this child?” I was shocked to find out that he was not seven or eight, but he was fifteen-years-old! We brought him to Love A Child and put him in our Child Sponsorship Program! Now Wilner (Pistache) is in his early twenties. He has a few more years of school, he is a devout Christian, and he has his own “singing group,” and wants to be a Pastor or a journalist! Wow! Think about “changing just one life at a time” this year! Love, Sherry
PS: The nickname “Pistache” means “peanut” in Creole!
