UPDATED HAITIAN NEWS:

February 8th.

Prime Minister Ariel Henry did not resign last evening.

Haitian Prime Minister Ariel Henry gave a brief public address last evening calling for calm as violent protests have erupted across the country, demanding he step down.

Henry’s speech did little to appease the tens of thousands of angry and frustrated people over gang violence and putting them deep into poverty – with no general election in sight.

Today, here in Haiti, thousands are marching and protesting across the nation for Henry to resign. There was bloodshed yesterday, especially between the Haitian National Police and the BSAP. It was a sad day to see brother against brother fighting and killing each other.

More of the same today, I’m sure. Roads are being blocked, fires, shootings, etc. And, on top of this, we have the gangs!

I pray that Kenya will come quickly and bring help to rid Haiti of all the gangs that control not all but most of the country.

Please pray for Haiti and its people today.
