Our solar container for Love A Child has been sitting at the Dominican border since yesterday morning. Yesterday, gunfire rang out at the border. I don’t know what really happened, but it wasn’t good. The Dominican Republic closed its border gate and the Haitian side closed its gate. There is great friction between Haiti and the Dominican Republic… some throwing rocks and blocking the road!

I’ve heard some Haitians have been shot. We were hoping today to bring our solar container across, go through Haitian customs, and then into Love A Child, which is only about 15 miles away. I received an e-mail from a friend this evening saying the border may not open for 3 or 5 days.

Please pray for peace at the border. Pray for the safety of our solar container to make it across the border and into Haiti!
