Dieuferly… We found him in the mountains, far, far from civilization. His mother had “many children,” and she was holding Dieuferly, with his little “club feet,” in her arms. He was a little over a year old. We brought him back to our home in Petionville. (We had not yet built “Love A Child,” Village in Fond Parisien.)

At that time, the U.S. Military was there in Haiti and had brought in doctors. They told us they could do the surgery on little Dieuferly, but none of them was an expert with “club feet.” Dieuferly went through a horrific surgery on both feet! The doctors did not have what they needed to “put him to sleep!” They could only give shots for pain.  The military doctors sent him home with me, with “Baby Tylenol!” I walked the floor constantly with him, crying and screaming in pain.

Sometime later, he had to have other surgeries, and again, a few years ago, he had other surgeries in the Dominican Republic. That doctor was the best!! Dieuferly now does much of our video, and handles the “drone shots” (to show us each night how far away the gangs are, from Love A Child!) He and his brothers always help with our large “Food Distributions!” They all love “feeding hungry children!” We are so proud of Dieuferly and all his “brothers,” who help us so much! P.S. The word “Dieuferly” means “God made it!” And yes, “He did!”
