In John Chapter 11 is the famous story of Lazarus, which we have all heard about. Jesus was in another town, so Mary and Martha, the sisters of Lazarus, sent word for Jesus to come, because “Lazarus was sick unto death.” However, the Bible says that “Jesus abode two days still, in the same place.” – John 11:6

Jesus had a plan but Mary and Martha did not understand that “Jesus WAS the Resurrection and the Life!” When Jesus finally showed up, Lazarus had already died and was buried…

It would have been very difficult for any of us if we had been in Mary and Martha’s shoes… after all, Jesus “loved” this family very much…

You know “the rest of the story,” Jesus stood at the grave and called Lazarus to come forth from the grave… and he did. He was still bound in his grave clothes, but he hopped up the steps to Jesus! He was healed because Jesus “is the Resurrection and the Life!”

Sometimes it is hard to “wait on the Lord.” Psalms 27:14 says, “Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!!!”

So, do not be discouraged… Jesus already has the plan laid out! And, His plan is always the best! Now, praise God in advance and expect a miracle!!!
