Have you ever fallen asleep in church? Don’t feel too bad. In the Bible, Paul preached so long that a man fell asleep and fell out of a window!

Here at our church in Haiti, they have a solution: the official “Waker Upper.” If you doze off during the sermon, she finds you, walks over, and gives you a little tap on the forehead. Suddenly, you’re sitting straight up and paying VERY close attention!

It made me laugh, but there’s a good reminder in it too: sometimes we all need to wake up, not just physically, but spiritually.

Lord, keep our hearts awake and attentive to the things of God!
