Sometimes, Bobby and I do not go to the food distributions due to kidnappings, etc. We have some wonderful Haitian workers who know “when they think that it is safe to go,” and they load the truck with food and take off. Yesterday, they thought they would have to do the food distribution at the police station, due to muddy roads and gangs, but they tried to make it back into the village of Despeezo.
The mud was so bad that they almost got stuck!! So, they stopped and sent word to the village people who gladly walked a long way “through the mud” to get this precious box of food! This food is donated by Feed My Starving Children and our partners, like you, who sponsor the food to come to Haiti.
Yes! We are in the storm of horrible political problems with great violence here in Haiti. Yes! There are gangs, roadblocks, guns, and a lot of fear every day. But hunger is the greatest problem that we face, and we will do everything we can to help the poor with your help!
Thank you and God bless you! Bobby and Sherry
