You may remember back a few years ago, this young man, Djonsly, was brought to our small clinic in Fond Parisien, by his mother. Djonsly’s mother had noticed that his right eye had begun “bulging out of its eye socket!” She, like the woman in the Bible, “tried many physicians,” but Djonsly’s eye grew worse. No hospital or clinic in Haiti, would even let him in. But God spoke to his mother and said, “Take him to Love A Child.” She had to find out what Love A Child was.

She arrived and our doctors looked at him. He had cancer in the back of his head, pushing the eye out! By a miracle, our friend at the Miami Baptist Hospital (I don’t think he wants his name mentioned), arranged for surgery for Djonsly, “free of charge.”

They removed the cancer but left the eye “for normal looks,” and gave him the best treatment possible! In the meantime, Djonsly learned English and did well in high school. He and his mom are looking for a job in Miami and are devout Christians. He has his whole life ahead of him!

All this, is because of “you,” our partners, who have made a difference! We thank you… Djonsly, and his mother thanks you, and may you be blessed, even more! You have made a great impact on their lives.
