Throughout history and in almost all cultures of the world, bees are associated with positive things like fortune, blessings, abundance, and a good life. This is certainly true in Haiti, where the presence of bees is an exciting prediction of blessings to come.
The other morning, when Wilner arrived at the Agricultural Training Center (ATC), he saw a large new swarm of bees had landed on the model home, as if they were claiming it for themselves. With great excitement and joy, the team prepared to move the new Queen and her workers into a new beehive and to welcome them to the ATC.
Bees are appreciated for their effective pollination of fruits and vegetables. They symbolize hard work, unity, community, and their presence is considered a spiritual gift. And don’t forget the sweet nutrition of their honey! Honey is considered the perfect food and does not spoil.
Everyone at the ATC was happy that the bees decided to bestow on them their foretelling of blessings and good things to come. It was a sweet day.
Your continued support of our Sustainability Projects is blessing many lives today while giving hope for a better tomorrow. Thank you, and God bless you.
