Why We Are Building a Larger Jesus Healing Center…continued

“Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left.” Isaiah 54:2,3

For the past year and longer, we have had such severe cases coming to us, who should have gone to a hospital… In fact, some of these had already been to a hospital, and they did nothing to help!

Little Angelet Volner, age six, had a horrible abscessed tooth and was in a lot of pain. His face and eyes were swollen, and this infection, left untreated, could have killed him. His father had brought him from a village high in the mountains! He received the best of care!

Christella Seragene is just 16 months old, severely dehydrated, high fever, vomiting and diarrhea, with other life-threatening symptoms. She would have died from these complications, if her mother had not found the right doctors.

Jaline Celicourt is 30 years old. She was going to buy some items at the border to resell in order to feed her family. While she was in the tap-tap, the “Papaya Gang” shot at the tap-tap she was riding and the driver tried not to stop. The gang began firing at the tap-tap and hit some of the people, like Madamn Jaline. She was brought to our clinic. Six patients were brought to our clinic with gunshot wounds.

Zanon Nerezulus is just 23 years old.  He is a student from Ganthier, the next big town up from us. His father, Francois, a farmer, brought him. He has lost a lot of weight, has a cough, and more. The doctors suspect tuberculosis.  He was given IV fluids, azithromycin, and iron. From there they sent him via our ambulance for special treatment and further care.

Gilbert, one of our employees, has been working for us for 30 years! He was on a “very, very high ladder” trying to clean the dust from a window at our orphanage. (We had no idea he was doing this!) His ladder slipped and he fell onto a bed that had metal frame posts. His foot broke the metal post and it cut into his foot. The cut was severe. He was treated and given a tetanus shot and the doctors sewed him up, making sure there were no internal injuries that would prevent healing.

These are just “some” of the accident cases we see on a regular basis. Some of them come from our own Children’s Home! We must always be prepared for another disaster, as in the 2010 earthquake. We want to be that “light on the hillside” where the poor can come and be treated first-class, when they have no money!

Thank you, partners, for helping. And special, special thanks to Joyce Meyer MinistriesHand of Hope for sponsoring the monthly cost of our operating expenses so that we can continue to help the poor! Sherry
