Wilguens (Jacque) never gets into trouble, but he’s hard to find! What an unusual little guy this is! He and his sister, Fabiola, were left with their father when their mother died. Their stepmother did not want them. When their father would go to look for work, he would be gone “days,” and as a result the children had no food. Their stepmother did not want them, either. There were many times when Wilguens’ father left them for days… and they both began to suffer from malnutrition. When he saw that Wilguens and his sister were thin and sickly, he took them to Social Services, and they called us.

I would say that Wilguens is one of the most unusual children we have. For one thing, he is “very intelligent,” and he loves to sing and to read the Bible! His daily jobs are picking up trash, cleaning his room… and anything else that is needed. He is in 6th grade and he wants to be either a mechanic or a teacher! He is shy but “very wise,” so the kids call him “Grandpa!” His favorite thing is playing dominos and cards… Everyone loves “Wilguens!”
