Wonderful Jean Richard!

This is Jean Richard, a young man with cerebral palsy who is in his last year in school, Philo. Jean Richard came to us after the earthquake because the orphanage where he was staying had been destroyed! He is such a wonderful young man. He is an excellent keyboard player; playing for our church and when our children sing! He wants to learn computers!

Notice how nice he is dressed for school… shirt and tie. He does not go to a private school. He goes to our Love A Child School. Children in Haiti, throughout elementary and high school, are not allowed to come in shorts, flip flops, or midriff shirts. There are no “butt-dragging pants,” for which I am thankful because I don’t have to look at their underwear or “anything else!” School is a privilege. We have sponsors who share in the cost of education for our children, and the children do not take education for granted. They are proud to wear a uniform! It is a blessing, not a curse! It means God has made the impossible, “possible!” Sherry
