I’m done crying! As King David was out chasing his enemy, the Amalekites, they backtracked and came into his city, Ziklag. They burned the entire city to the ground. The enemy took David’s wives, his soldiers’ wives, and all their children, as well as all the other wives and children in the city. This was a great defeat for David! All the people wept with David until they had no more power to weep. They even spoke of stoning David to death!
“David was greatly distressed; for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.” 1 Samuel 30:6
David asked the Lord what to do. The Lord said, “Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.” 1 Samuel 30:8 – King David won the victory only because he “encouraged himself in the Lord!” Today, encourage yourself in the Lord. Even with finance, marriage, sickness or family problems, you will win the victory! The Lord is on our side! You should say, “I’m done crying!” Let’s face the enemy and fight!
