“It shall be well…” 2 Kings 4:23
This is a wonderful story of a wealthy Shunammite woman and Elisha, the Prophet of God. The Shunammite woman begins to give Elisha bread as he passes by her house. Soon, she and her husband would build him a little room on the wall. God wants to bless her and Elisha asks what should be done for her? She does not need anything, but Elisha’s servant tells him that her husband is old, and she is childless. Elisha prays and the next year, a child is born unto her. However, a few years later, the child that “God gave her” died, but she doesn’t even tell her husband! She lays her dead son on the bed of the “man of God,” and tells her husband she is going to ride fast to go to Elisha. Even when her husband asks her “why” she is going, she merely replies, “It shall be well.” The child was healed! What a testimony of faith! No matter what you are facing today, next week anytime, say, “It shall be well,” and it will! Blessings! Sherry
