“A Dead Man’s Bones…”
In 2 Kings 2:9, Elisha, the servant of Elijah, asks the man of God for a “double portion” of his spirit to be upon him. We see that Elisha performed almost double the amount of miracles as Elijah did…except for one. That “one last double portion” happened “after” Elisha had died.
“And it came to pass, as they (the Moabites) were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men; and they cast the man into the sepulcher of Elisha: and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived, and stood up on his feet.” 2 Kings 13:21 – There was enough of the “spirit of God” in the “dead man’s bones” to raise the dead. We serve this same God! Keep your eyes on Him and expect that miracle! Sherry
