“The Hairs of His Head Began to Grow…” Judges 16:22 (Continued from yesterday)
Now, we see Samson, his head shaven, captured by his enemies and blind. They put his feet in fetters of brass and had him grinding corn like an ox. They made fun of him. Now, he was nothing, and he had nothing because of disobedience. I believe as he began to repent, all that time he was “grinding in the prison,” the hairs of his head began to grow! Listen, it’s never too late. Samson repented. I believe he wept, and his “hairs on his head began to grow!” You know the story. They had brought him out before thousands of Philistines to make fun of him and Samson quietly prayed, “Oh, Lord God, remember me.” And God did. Samson took hold of those huge pillars, one arm around each and pulled the “house down” killing over 3,000 Philistines! God could have turned His back on Samson, but I believe that “God’s Spirit came upon him one last time.” The Spirit of God is precious, and God is a merciful God, but “obedience is better than sacrifice!” Have a great day!
