“But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him…” Mark 5:6
“Legion Meets Jesus, the God of Peace”
He was the most pathetic person…“naked living all alone among the tombs.” The only friends he had were the dead. People heard him crying and screaming all day and night. He was also cutting himself with rocks until he was covered with blood. Maybe he was trying to kill himself. No one could tame him, not even the religious leaders of that day. He was the picture of an insane, violent castaway with tangled, matted hair, and he was all alone. Perhaps one day, some time ago, he had married and had children, or had a way to make a living, but something happened, and the devil took over and demons entered into him. The more he cut himself with rocks and cried, the less anyone would listen. But one day, he “felt the presence of Jesus.” He shook as he saw Him in the distance, and he cried out, “Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.” In less than a minute, this man was delivered, set free, full of joy and became a new creature. Don’t ever give up; keep praying for that loved one, no matter how hopeless. “Is there anything too hard for God?” Jeremiah 32:27 – Expect a miracle! Sherry
