Why missionaries?
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound…” God calls missionaries “to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.” Isaiah 61:1&3 – It is not an easy life to live among the poor, to see their suffering, and do everything we can do, but sometimes it is not enough. It takes a “broken heart” to be a missionary, and to “let your heart be broken.” Perhaps that is why many do not pay the price. Are you one of those whom God is calling to the mission field? Then, say “yes!” If God has called you to “stay by the stuff,” and give, and pray, then please obey. God bless you. Sherry
