Word from the Mission Field: 1-20-19 6:00 AM

“Let everything that hath breath, praise the Lord.” Psalm 150:6 — When King David set up the tabernacle of the Lord, he put a lot of thought into the “praise” and worship. (1 Chronicles, Chapter 25) He instructed the sons of Hamas (who had fourteen sons and three daughters) to “fit up the horn.” All these were under the hands of their father for song in the house of the Lord, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of the Lord… There were 288 choice musicians who were instructed in the songs of the Lord and they were to lead the worship. Psalm 96:1 declares, “O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth.”

“…And four thousand praised the Lord with the instruments which I made, said David, to praise therewith.” 1 Chronicles 23:5 The Haitian Christians love to sing, pray and read their Bibles, no matter where they are… In the States, while traveling, they read their Bibles at the airport and often sing… I hear them singing when they work. I have four Haitian ladies who work in my Mobile Medical Clinic, packing medicines. They sing so much, and praise the Lord but yet, they get their jobs done! God wants us to praise Him. He wants us to sing praises and play instruments before Him. He knows that “the joy of the Lord is our strength.” Have a great day.
