“For who will hearken unto you in this matter? But as his part is that goeth down to the battle, so shall his part be that tarrieth by the stuff: they shall part alike.” I Samuel 30:24 —You may know the story, David had gone into battle, and some of his men were so wounded that they could not continue the fight. So David took the rest of the men to fight and left the others to “stay by the stuff” (watch over things). When the battle was over and they took all of the spoils from the enemy, David divided the spoils equally between those on the front lines and those who stayed back. “Thank you partners” for “watching the stuff” and praying, while we are on the “front lines.” We shall all be rewarded together.
