There’s nothing worse than a stingy Christian. There are actually people who say they love God, but they never think about the poor. Today, a lady named Naomi came to our gate. She had been here two days ago, and she had many problems. I gave her some money and told her to come back today. In her arms was her nine-month-old baby girl. Naomi’s husband had no job, and she was very, very poor… Her eyes had no sparkle, her hair was red and uncombed, but her eyes, well her eyes were hopeless. She, her husband and her two children were living with another family, and they wanted Naomi and her family to move out… but where? I gave her some food and told her to come back on Monday. I told her I would hire her and that we would find a house for her. She began to cry and cry. I told her, “Now, go and come again on Monday, let me prepare some things for you.” I gave her food, but most of all, I gave her hope. Do I need to ask God to bless me? No. I was blessed by the smile on her face and the hope in her eyes. Be liberal. Don’t be stingy. Always go the second mile. The liberal soul shall be made fat… No, not fat as in a diet, but “fat” as in blessed! Sherry
