“When You’ve Done All You Can…”
What a precious story in Mark 14:1-9 – We find Jesus in the house of Simon the leper… However, he was a healed leper because if he was not, he could not have invited people to his house, and no leper could have been in the presence of Jesus, and not have been healed.
Bible scholars say that Simon was the father of Mary, Martha and Lazarus…what a family! However, a woman came in with an alabaster box of precious ointment, very expensive. She somehow knew by revelation that Jesus was going to be crucified. It was her last act of kindness to the King. She broke the box and poured this oil on his head. Immediately, others began to criticize, and they said, “What a waste.” Jesus said, “Let her alone.” Then He said, “She hath done what she could.” We are still talking about this woman thousands of years later…the woman who “did all she could.” That’s all the Lord asks of us…for us to just do what we can. Have a blessed day! Sherry
