“There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius… A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms (offerings to the poor) to the people, and prayed to God always.” Acts 10:1-2 – The Angel said to Cornelius, “Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.” Acts 10:4 – When you pray and give to the poor, it comes up as a “memorial” before God.
