“A Squirt Gun And An AK-47”
“David hasted, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.” 1 Samuel 17:48 – Imagine that scrawny little shepherd boy David, running toward Goliath the giant! It would be like one of us running toward a terrorist with a squirt gun, and him having an AK-47! But, David never thought about the giant or the spear or the armor-bearer who went before the giant, all he knew was that “the battle is the Lord’s.” David needed no “heavy armor” to hold him back. He just “took off running toward the giant,” slipping his hand into his bag, and pulling out a single stone! He had no fear. And today, you may be facing “the biggest giant of your life.” You may feel as though you are so small and the giant is so large, but do not fear. Take the Word of God, and run toward your giant.
