The Gwo Mache Mirak opened yesterday for the first “soft opening,” which allowed vendors to set up their booths, get adjusted, and have crowds visit. The vendors don’t start selling until the dedication service of the Grand Miracle Market on December 9^th. Yesterday, the marketplace was filled with Gospel bands, people singing, children playing and many visiting Haitians! At night, the lights lit up the sky as Haitians walked around visiting each other and the booths. Everyone was so happy and the air was filled with “hope.” See Sherry’s Journal for the Grand Miracle Market story. We will have more pictures and touching thoughts later today!
