Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.” Proverbs 26:27 – We all have enemies, whether we know it or not. Some people are jealous of you and they would do whatever they could to harm you. Take the Bible story of Esther, she was the niece of Mordecai, and both were Jews. Haman was jealous of Mordecai, and hated the fact that Mordecai would not “bow” to him as everyone else did. This caused Haman to devise a plot to kill Mordecai and all the Jews that were in Persia. He even made a gallows to be used to hang Mordecai, but God “reversed” the plot of the enemy. Haman was hanged on the gallows that was built for Mordecai and the Jews slew their enemies, about 75,000! The Bible says, “Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.” I like the Creole Proverb that means the same in English, “If a big fish swallows a small fish, he needs to look behind him at the cayman (alligator) that is coming to get him!” Sherry
