“Has Your Brook Dried Up?”
In your walk with the Lord, in His season, He will lead you to other areas… maybe to another city or state or even to another country or another job. We must always be ready to make a change when the Lord says, “Get up and move.” Many times, we get accustomed to being treated badly at our jobs, or by that man or woman we are with. We just don’t want to move. But, there will come a time when God says, “move,” and if we don’t, He may cause your “brook to dry up.” Elijah, the prophet, was at the brook Cherith. He was getting “home delivery” food each day by the ravens, meat and bread. He may have stayed there much longer, but “it came to pass that after a while the brook dried up” because there had been no rain in the land. God was getting ready to bless a poor widow woman and her son, and He needed Elijah to leave his place of comfort in order to save her and her child. Don’t get mad at God “if your brook dries up!” He’s got something better for you and He will use you to be a blessing to someone else! Sherry
