“Where Is Jesus In My Storm?”
I wonder if you are facing a great storm today? There are many types of “storms.” Some people have a storm in their marriage, or with their children on drugs; some have a child in prison, or maybe you have an enemy on the job. Sometimes, you share this with your friends, but many times, you are in the storm, but no one knows about it. You put on a “front,” and try to smile, but the storm is always there. Maybe you feel that the Lord has forgotten about you. The disciples of Jesus felt that way too. In Mark 4:36-39, Jesus and His disciples are in a boat in a storm. There’s nothing worse. The disciples think they are going to die, but Jesus was in the storm with them. He never left the boat! Even when you can’t see Him, or hear Him, or even “feel His presence,” He’s still there “in the storm with you.” For that’s what “faith” is. Faith tells you, “He’s somewhere in the storm” with you! He will never leave you nor forsake you, and He will bring you “out” of the storm! Don’t give up! The waves will die down, the noise will cease, and the sun will shine again! Sherry
