DON’T GIVE UP!

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:58

Sometimes we all feel like “just giving up.” If we give up, we lose… when we go forward, we win the crown! Sherry and I have been living here in Haiti for 27 years now. When we first arrived, Haiti had a coup. President Aristide had to leave the country. After that, for three years, “all hell broke loose!” We had no electricity; it was total chaos. People were being shot, there wasn’t any diesel or gas for a long time. We lived by candlelight. We had hardly any money… we were broke! Yet all that time, we kept preaching the Word, giving hope in Jesus and giving to the hungry. In hard times we must learn to be “steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord…” Our labor has not been in vain. Today, don’t give up! Go forward in Jesus’ name! Bobby Burnette
