“Is there anything too hard for the Lord?”
There will always be times in our lives when we go through something that seems “insurmountable.” You may have felt like “I can’t do this anymore.”
I remember one time, years ago in Haiti, when I got into a situation that could have killed me. I had gone with my driver to visit a sick man. I took medicine with me, and we went deep into the mountains. We had to get out of the truck and walk the rest of the way. I treated the sick man and prayed for him, doing all I could for him. Then the Haitian Pastor said, “Let’s take a short cut.” The Haitian people are strong and climb the highest mountains, doing it quickly. I took off, trying to keep up with him, and all of a sudden, he disappeared. He had gone up a mountain, and I had tried to follow him. The sun was beating down on me, and I was so very weak. When I got almost to the top, I had to crawl up on my stomach. I was weak, needed water, and no one was there to help me. I thought, “maybe I should go back down the mountain and go another way.” But when I looked back, I realized how high up I was. I prayed with all my heart and felt that I could not make it. But, the Word of God says, “is there any thing too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27) There was nothing too hard for God!
I finally got the strength to climb the rest of the way. When I arrived at the top, I was so weak and shaking. I saw the truck and driver and motioned for him to come to me. Today, you too may be climbing a mountain that is hard, but with God on your side, “there is nothing too hard for the Lord!” You can make it!! Have a wonderful day!
