“The Cry of the Poor”

When we first moved to Haiti and saw the poor, especially the children, we began to ask God, “Why are so many children hungry?” After praying, we felt the Lord had said, “I put you there to feed them.”

The Bible says, “But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?” (1 John 3:17)

God has put us here to feed them. We are the “hands and feet of Jesus” reaching out to the poor, whether they are in Haiti, in the States, or anywhere. Today, open your heart and “listen” to the “cry of the poor.” Someone needs you today.
