Word from the Mission Field

“Give Me Something Hard to Do.”

God is a big God! Sometimes, we are afraid to pray and tell God what we need, because it is a “big thing.” But, God loves those “hard things to do!”

There is a great story in the Bible in II Kings Chapter 3. Elisha has just gotten the mantel of Elijah and he is “trying it out!” Three kings went to battle against Moab… the king of Israel, the king of Judah, and the king of Edom. They had gone seven days’ journey through the wilderness of Edom and they were out of water! They needed a prophet, Elisha, to ask God for water… God does it in a “big way.” He said, “make this valley full of ditches.” God said, “You will not see wind or rain, but yet, that valley shall be full of water!” And this is but a light thing in the sight of the Lord! God not only gave them water but delivered them from their enemies. Do you have a “big problem” today? Do you need a miracle? God is saying, “I’m bigger than that! Give me something hard to do!!!We serve a big God!! He is big enough to handle any “big problems” we may have! Have a blessed day!
