“Lord, What do You Want Me to Do?”

How many times have we not taken the time to “ask the Lord His advice and His guidance?” When Bobby and I were first married and I would try to give him a little “wife” advice, he would say, “Honey, I know what I’m doing…” Through the years, we have both learned to pray and ask the Lord “what He wants us to do.”

Joshua had been anointed in the place of Moses and God promised to be with him, but the Lord wanted Joshua to pray first. In Joshua Chapter 9, Joshua and his men are tricked into making an alliance with their enemies, whom God wanted to destroy… “And the men took of their victuals, and asked not counsel at the mouth of the Lord.” Joshua 9:14 – Bad Mistake. Today, as you have decisions facing you, “ask the counsel of the Lord,” first.
