“Put Your Hand to the Plow and Don’t Look Back…”
Jesus often taught his disciples and others with stories and parables. He related to things of their time so they could understand what He was talking about. Jesus was teaching them that “follow me” means, “follow me and don’t look back.” This is what the Israelites did time after time… They whined, murmured, complained, and kept “looking back at Egypt!” Jesus said, “No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62 – You cannot take your eyes off the wheel. In Bible days, they could not plow with huge oxen and turn around to look back. They had to focus on getting the job done. Today, don’t look back. It is a trick of the devil. Keep your hands on the plow and your eyes on Jesus! Have a great day, and “keep on plowing!” Sherry
